The Tajikistan government banned the importation of incandescent light bulbs this month, in an attempt to help the environment. They are hoping that using the "greener" light bulbs they will be able to save energy and the environment, as well as money. The irony of this is that the new bulbs are 5-10 times more expensive as the banned bulbs. This could create a problem, for the poor people that make up the majority of Tajikistan. Article link

Organizers of this event, including "Miss Semey" believe that this will catch the public's attention, and encourage them to wear breathing masks. Osama Bin Laden Releases tape warning US to end wars in Afghanistan, and Iraq.
Osama Bin Laden released a video two days after the eight year mark of the September 11th attacks. The video was a still image of Bin Laden, with an accompanying voice recording, although it has not been confirmed it is Bin Laden, it is very likely the tape was released by him. It is believed that Bin Laden is hiding in Mountainous Afghanistan terrain. In the tape Bin Laden warns our government to end the wars in Afghanistan and Iran, and to end the conflict between the al-Qeada and US. BBC NEWS
